Ganpathi ko aaya gussa!!!

That's what India TV and a couple of other channels where shouting out loud late last night...
Followed by, "Yamraj ko bana diya chuhaa". Of course I was interested in watching the report...

First there was 'Khali khela Holi' then 'Chatth pe chad gayi Billo Rani', 'Amithabh Bachchan ko thand lagi', then this...

To cut a short story even shorter, a family of about 8 was traveling in a car with the Ganesha Idol for immersion, when suddenly the car started giving out smoke. They all rushed out of the car, then again heroically returned to get the idol. And as soon that was done, the car caught fire. That's it!!!

Here's how India TV had to portray it...
The report had the most dramatic narration after Lord of the Rings. Just to get to the point, they took about 35 million years. They had a 3D graphic rendition of the whole 'scene'. They showed grabs from the movie 'Bal Ganesh' just to prove their point (what point, you ask? Hmm...). Then there were dialogues like 'Par unhe kya pata tha ki Yamraj bhi us gaadi me savaar tha!', 'Ganeshji ne Yamraj ko chuhaa bana diya', 'Ab se Yamraj har Ganesh bhakt se darega', 'etc... etc... etc...' (It's simply not worth remembering all that crap, XSharXmaX would have, though, I just know)
Oh yeah, and the car was just 3 days old.
All this, fit into a 15-20 minute long report, with great great difficulty.

You'd ask why I saw the entire thing? Well, I resigned, I can do anything.

Someone please file a PIL to change the name of that channel...
